How many times have they changed the bar height/reach and the screen of the ST? I know they raised the bars and screen for 07, but someone told me it was changed again for 08?

I bought my first Triumph, last week, here in Indianapolis. I picked the "08" Sprint St because; the bars were moved up and back a little. My last bike was a "05" Victory Hammer. So the Sprint was a definite change in riding position, for me. The new position of the foot pegs and handle bars are comfortable for me. I am past the days, of laying far forward. I really enjoy and respect this bike, so far. Versatile in many respects, without compromise in performance. This is my first post, and I am impressed with this forum. A wealth of Triumph bike knowledge. One question, if I may? Is the engine oil capacity for the "08" Sprint St, 4 quarts or liters? For the life of me, I can not find a reference anywhere, on the engine crankcase capacity. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the madhouse Alan. If you look in the handbook in the specifications section it will tell you how much oil. My 955 says 4 liters - I think the 1050 will be the same. Enjoy your Triumph, but stay out of the Hinckley Arms it's full of the strangest people - I'mjust off there now...

Bars: Changed for the 07 model, the 08 has the same as the 07. Screen: For 07 and 08 they offer the Aero screen as stock. That screen was offered as an accessory for the 05-06 models. Seat: They changed the seat for the 07 model. 08 has the same as 07. Apart from the screen, which I think most people will find as a better option than the 05-06 stock regardless of bar height, whether you like the other changes or not is highly personal.
