My bags are in storage but I was thinking about pulling them out and riding alot more due to fuel prices. Presently I have the Seat Cowl on,, will the soft bag harness system work with the Seat Cowl installed? Thanks in advance

Hell no I don;t want to move to the UK.......heck I can't hardley afford to come over and visit. But then your Euros have always been paying twice what we have. My other vehicle is a quite large and not very economical Diesel Pickup and a 85 MB 300SD.....also not great on the MPG...... Keep in mind, no socailized medicine over hear....all comes out of our pockets.

$10.94 for a gallon of gas, would cause this country to go into a state of anarchy. How do you make it over there? Uh. Not to hi-jack the post. Yeah, I ride my bike with hard bags and ride to work regardless of the weather, to save gas too.

To answer the original question : I doubt you'll be able to use the soft panniers with the seat cowl fitted. The panniers sit better with the straps pulled up short, even if the fixing pad fits under the cowl, which I doubt.

I think our brothers (and sisters) in the UK need to get their guns back and then demand the government lower the gas tax to something reasonable.

Just because it comes out of our taxes doesn't mean it's better value for what we pay

according to the papers yesterday the tax bill from a persons wages in this country hits 51% that means that 51% of my salary goes towards a tax of some kind.... fuel duty, VAT, insurance tax, income tax, and any other of the 121 taxes that this government has introduced in the last 11 years

in the states figure 30% of your income to Federal tax. another maybe 3-5% for state and local tax. then sales tax on pretty much anything you buy of varying %, not to mention the hidden taxes on tires oil, fuel, etc which is all hidden in the ned users price. taxes Suck everywhere I suppose.
