OK, heres a first draft - the idea is a choice of evening and Sunday events, alternately spread over the south central area(Berkshire, London, Hampshire, East & West Sussex), with old and new venues (suggestions needed). Bank holidays avoided but no accounting for race dates, your wifes shift pattern or the likely weather

Sunday - 16/03/2008 - Brooklands (invite from UK Buell owners)
Wednesday - 02/04/2008 - (new pub, Surrey)

Sunday - 18/05/2008 - Clatford Arms, Goodworth (+ North Hampshire rideout)
Wednesday - 04/06/2008 - Seven Stars, Stroud, Hampshire
Sunday - 15/06/2008 - Black Rabbit, Arundel (+ South Downs rideout)
Wednesday - 02/07/2008 - Lamb Inn, Pagham
Sunday - 20/07/2008 - Mayfly, Leckford (Pre Scropton)

well done Jazz - always best to have a 'non blank' piece of paper as my old boss used to say.
Surprised, given the whinging and moaning about a fixed weekday in 2006, that the 'rolling' weekday wasnt opted for - think its a good idea to offer a Sunday venue tho ! Esp for the Devils Dyke gayday, as thats a long haul in an evening ...
The only pub I saw 'missing' was the one run by RMs inlaws - near Alresford (last May)

Great list, I'd only put forward the comment that the Black Rabbit at Arundel on a Sunday is likely to be heaving. Last time I was there on a Sunday I gave up and went somewhere else after 45 minutes waiting to be served.

see my next wednesday thread, I agree some weekday flexibility would be good but herding cats may be simpler to get everyone together on the same night!

I meant that the lack of feedback could be taken either way about flexi / rolling weekdays .....

Any chance you could make the meet on the 18 the weekend before.
It's the only weekend I am am not busy and don't have my boys. And SO want to make at least 3 meets this year!
And there was me thinking being single would free up time to get out and about with you guys!

as we have Bls event on the 4th and 7th at the Ace (probably well attended by us Londoners) we will need some interest from the sussex and south hants mafia to get numbers up for another run on the 11th...

Strange behaviour though. I've heard of dances, sacrifices to the gods and all manner of methods for manipulating the weather, but never that.
I always get my butcher to trim any excess hair and fat off my chops...
