I did Ok, managed to stay on for a change (DRI phoned to ask when I would be arriving.... ) 4 points in total ut I was really slow, but then after last years debacle I didn't realy expect anything less. Still a few tweaks to do to the bike to get more comfortable and then we'll try and pick it up. Alex had a munter of a day with gearbox problems that put him out after his first race (after being hit on the start line by another bike; he has quite a limp today). So he's changing the box for another one. Hopefully he may be out on the new Kawasaki by the next meet;if not he'll go with the CBR again. Rebekah (my daughter) has got her race licence and will take over the CBR when the Kawasaki is ready. So it should get to be fun. Thanks to those who came on Sunday to support us, sorry you didn't have a bit more to cheer but we will keep trying.

No Problems Tony. Cracking day, I'd forgotten how totally insane some of the club racers really are I didn't take many fotos. The ones I did are here: http://www.t595.net/album/editalbum.asp?album=7079 If you want a copy of the originals I'll email them to you. The're not too good though. I only had the Digital 'Point and Press' with me Now I know where that place is I'll be there again

Tone, Glad to hear you had a good day.Wish we could have made it. Bernard's CBR is like a new bike, rode it last night and I couldn't believe the difference. Thanks so much. I take back everything Tonto said about you! BTW, A friend of Bernard's has a TT600, but doesn't know if it has the best tune installed, is that something you could look at? He's Sheffield based, and if you could help him out we would really appreciate it.

Nick, can do re the TT600 but he'll have to buy a key for the TuneBoy. Glad Bernards bike is OK. Is the 125 thingy still on?

Jerry's waiting for gearbox bits for 6 of the bikes, so the start of the season is looking a bit iffy. I'm not going to be able to do the Easter meeting at Pembrey as I shall be in Ecuador, if my bike is available, would you be interested?

I think it's Easter Saturday and Sunday, The Vicar will be able to tell you. I'd rather you did a meeting while I was there though, would be a bit of fun.

Good to hear you stayed on Tony. Things can but improve? The CRMC Easter meeting is Saturday and Sunday. The circuit are running an open practice on Good Friday too. Not sure we will be out either Nick as we still have no engine!!! And what is more it now seems we have spent the past 2 years with an incorrect rev counter that was registering 1/3 too high!

Ah, I'm racing on the 9th (easter Monday I think) at Darley so the logistics wouldn't work (Travelling more than aything). But then I agree, I'd rather you were out too Nick. The Vicar, didn't you have it on a dyno last year? surely they would have noticed the rev counter discrepancy? (we would; the Trumpyracer Triumph rev counter reads 500 rpm slow all the time and the rev limiter agrees with it but the dyno and the veypor both read the same with pickups from the coils; both inductive and direct).

Mmmm. Not sure Tony. The Dyno guy had all sorts of problems because of noise waves? and the fact we run Avgas and Super Unleaded mix also caused him problems. I assume you know it is a '72 Trident that we are running? May try and get up to Darely somewhen and see you race but it is a bit of a trek from Kent.

Yeah, I now its a 72 Trident...the noise problem is quite easy to overcome with the latest dynojet electrics (although there will be some that are still arkward) and mostly its only when you rev them really hard so at idle etc its fairly easy to see if the dyno readout and rev counter match (except if its an early 150 dyno where you have to have the wheel turning to get a readout from the dyno, but still not that difficult). The avgas/unleaded mix will have caused him problems with the AFR stuff I would have thought and nothing else. Yeah, we want to do as brands meet so we may well get down there.

Tony, could not tell you what dyno it was but to be honest I think the guy operating it was a tad 'green'. The avgas / unleaded mix just totally blew away the AFR. Guess ultimately we will never know.

Well that's because avgas has a different stoich to unleaded, so you couldn't set the afr meter up correctley to read the said AFR. It would have to be set at either avgas or unleaded petrol (which is 14.7) Avgas (being basically high octane leaded gasoline) is somewhat different.
