tis alright for you matey at least your bike is at your place & up & running !! what a good idea to suggest this and I don't even have a full bike to ride Glad you think it's a good idea for the summer months & light evenings. Hows about some more input.

The Milk Bar at sherburn-in-elmet is a good place to meet. Loads of bikers go there especially on a wednesday night, which wouldn't be my choice because of the police presence. A weekend would be a much better option. Pursuaded my mate to go last weekend, as he (like me) hasn't been past his test long. Distinct lack of triumph there. Only mine in fact. Be nice to see a few there. Taylor made for bikers, got an old norton in a glass case inside, very authentic, even got the oil running down the stand. Be nice to meet some of you

we gonna sort out a place or what???? been told by a few bikers that squires at sherburn is better than big d's due to the fact you'll love the roads (cause it ain't on a main road), its large enough to accomodate a hell of a lot of bikers, and its cheaper than big d's. Lets sort a date out or arrange some where else with a date, cause things have got a bit stagnent on this thread

Already mentioned about Wednesdays. Way too busy and like i said before there's a few coppers about. Last time i went through it was a Saturday morning for a greasy bacon butty (absolutely fantastic) , might be a bit too quite though. Lets have an opinion on a day / date then. What about this weekend or mid-week?? I work continental shifts anyway, so i can tie in when-ever (as long as i ain't workin')

Bought a set o trident pipes and the intermediate pipes were the wrong ones, found out after i took the system off. He's sent me the proper ones which i hope to have and fit tomorrow, if not its back on with the standard system. Let me know if this is ok??

Good to meet two of you , got home early Relay, wife was a bit surprised I think run to the east coast would be a good idea next time, pity about the wind. Managed the deck the R/H footrest down just after leaving Squires so my rear tyre is now absent of chicken strips. Next time may as well make a day of it, we could arrange a couple of meeting places ( and a new thread) . DJ's a Todmorden (breakfast, opens at 9.00am ) http://www.big-ds.co.uk/ Squires Cafe ( coffee ) Seaview Cafe on the A166 to Brid/Scarborough Then on to East Coast

A run to Pacittos Ice Cream parlour in Redcar for one of their icy treats! Has happened the last couple of years - usually early/mid July - across on the A59, meet up in Thirsk & then on to Redcar. Usually a good turnout, plus a chance for East & West to get together.

now, now. i ain't had a day off work in three years! we get a £50 bonus for not a having a day off in the year. I am officially shit at cornering, i can't commit myself to corners that i don't know even though i seem to take the right line. Been out today round some winding bends that i ain't been on before and i should have gone much faster round the bends than i did. i think i'll get a sat nav for the bike so if i loose you i can still get there eventually! Thats what you get with just being past your test less than 12 months

relay; how long have you been riding if i'm not mistaken aint this your first bike every body has to learn to walk before they can run, and what happens if you try to run before walking you fall over so it's no good saying you should have gone round faster that comes with experience also getting to know your bike not meaning to lecture its just that when i was an instructor ex pupils would say the same

Relay, there nothing worse than being pressured into riding at a pace your not happy with, been there done that, SURVIVED, just, always an issue when riding in a group. Stick to your own pace let the hero's go at there's. I've got nothing to prove, so don,t worry about loosing sight of anyone on a group rideout, I'm quite happy at the back, and as its likely to be a weekend anyway, those lovely boys in blue will be out in force anyway as it appears we bikers are No one target when it comes to exceeding the speed limit & raising money for the local safety camera partnership, spoilt it for many, I've even noticed the the lack of sports bikes being sold by my local dealer, the showrooms full of cruisers , goldwings and naked sit up a beg bikes, seems to be a growing trend.

don't worry - theres no pressure to keep up on a Northern Lads run! The fast boys can go off & do their thing, but we all wait for the stragglers at major junctions before setting off again. Meeting points are agreed in advance - the idea is to enjoy the ride, rather than stressing out 'cos you can't keep up.
