Neck...........sos!!!!! Heres my dilemma. I haven't ridden for 6 weeks, since my " kissing the utility pole" Missed US MotoGP last year, already got tickets for this years. Was also tacking on Canada, to see whre me old man used to work in the Pickle Crow Lakes Gold Mines, Ontario.. Doctor says, fook it, we will have you riding in 5 weeks Wife says don't be stupid/ give it more time/ seconded by M- in Law Lawyer says don't ride........yet, you could screw up your claim for damages, wants me to wait possibly up to 6 months.. I really don't know what the fook to do?? For my sanity, health and finances.. What would YOU do, d'ya think, in my position????

I suppose Frank that if it was me I would try to find out what the damage payout would be and how much would I stand to lose by going against Lawyers advice. I`m presuming as you are in America which is the Land Of The Compensation Claim then the payout you stand to get wont be just the `odd few $`s` and you really dont want to frig up the chance of getting a big wedge. Difficult one mate...

But I do understand the `insanity` that will be caused by waiting around to get back on with your life.... Hmmm....money or sanity?..... ....got to be the cash really Frank...

Frank.....our laws are different but similar so I would suggest that you do what the Lawyer advises. If it transpires that you have long-term injuries it could be argued that there has been contributory negligence although then you would have a claim against the doctor for negligence. Isn't the best course of action to see a specialist as opposed to a GP (General Practitioner). 6 months is nothing......wait! why not hire a cool sport scar and do the GP and Canada that way.

True, I suppose I should heed the advice of my lawyer, more so than my doctor, Re the claim......... After all, he is on a promise of 30%!!! So stands to reason he wants to achieve the "bigger package"........... To be honest, it's the waiting thats worry's me.......I mean, I've had one or two "clear cut" cases in the UK.......that took almost a year and a half to finalise!!!! Let's hope America has a quicker legal system ( don't see it, somehow!!!)
