As one or two of us know this is a good summers Classic Car and Motorcycle evening event. It is held every 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Summer and is very laid back and a good atmosphere. All the vehicles being shown are displayed on the village cricket pitch (everyone stays off the squares though!), there is a pub bang opposite and there is always some food to be bought. Ashby Folville is the quintessential English village which contributes enormously to the atmosphere, and it is always good natured and relaxed. By around 6.00 - 6.30pm it is packed out. Load of bikes there as well as the car brigade. So far there is: Blizzard jez Gordon H (tbc) Meself (Chizz) Who else?

GD - You could try but you'll be a bit lonely on your own in the middle of the Cricket field - it's usually all calming down by about 9pm (not that it gets too excited at any time!). Don't let me put you off cos it would be great to meet up, but it probably suits those who are within about a 90min ride. RM - If you are bringing the RAC truck you'd better plan on getting there early - after 6.00pm you'll struggle to get it anywhere near the centre of the village!

If I base meself at Wor Lass's (Telford) then I'm within striking distance Now the question is, do I convince her to drive so I can get sauced up?

I'll be there for the first one of the summer. Around 1830 - park in the lane next to the pub (Carrington Arms) Chiz - this also looks good and I suppose Whissendinium will be a no go area tomorrow http://www.cicleclassic.co.uk/index.html I'll be at the start at Oakham (where they poke em!)

Hi Gordon Sorry, missed your post. It wasn't too bad through the village TBH. Most people moved their vehicles well out of the way, but we were amazed when one of the team cars in the came flying up Main Street with its horn blaring past a large group of bikes just as the riders were haveing to move out past a parked vehicle. So who was the outrider on the Blue Tiger 1050 I wonder - anyone from round here? I'll send you my mobile number via t595 email. 18.30 will be fine - I may even be there a touch earlier.

Hi Mike. We'll be meeting up at around 6.30pm outside the Carrington Arms - I try and park up the lane next to the pub and wander down to the front of the pub. Might be an idea for you and Gordon H to meet up to ride over together as he will also be coming from Loughborough. I'll send you a t595 email with my mobile number.

If anyone else fancies it then email me ..... my t595 mail gets straight through to my work email if anyone needs to get in touch quickly.

Okay ... I was thinking that if you came up through Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Uppingham and then on to Oakham we could meet up in Oakham and ride to Ashby Folville. You could always come up via Market Harborough on the road to Melton Mowbray (I thinks its the A6047) ... this road is a well known biking favourite. If you've got a more favoured straight forward route then do that and we'll all see each other at the pub.

Sorry to hear that GD ... another time perhaps. Glad to hear you can make it Riggsy - are you hooking up with Blizz for the ride over? Jez (red 595) will be there at around 5.00pm (because the lucky so-and-so finishes work mid-afternoon). A number of us will be there by 6.30pm. Has anyone already got any t595.net stickers they can put on their foreheads? If we all hang about outside the front of the pub then let's not be shy about asking if we're t595'ers!

Poacher Click on the members name in the thread and you will be taken to their profile. Just right of centre near the top you will see and envelope with 2 circular arrows. Click on that and you will be emailing! BTW It doesn't matter to us if you're black, yellow or spotted pink and blue - if you ride a Triumph we'll be pleased to meet you! Mike - the more the merrier.

Am toying with the idea of wearing me scropton shirt, that should make it easier to spot each other, cos by 6.30 it'll be rammed round the pub. As opposed to being rammed round the back of a pub which is something different entirely....

OK Riggsy, so you've had one bite of the burger, you start to wobble and the bikes about to go down and you've got no more change in your pocket ... what are you gonna save? The bike or the burger? That's a mean question I know, but we must understand your priorities ...
