Well, ok, as still part of the British Empire, I suppose it had to happen......... But as a former colony, of that most glorious Empire, and now free of the outrageous " Tea Tax" can not the brave lads n lassies ( and their adopted compadres) of The Land of the Free & The Home of the Brave have THEIR own meet forum??? I propose " Confederates n Damn Yankees" How 'bout it, my fine 'Mercun fellows??????

There's nothing stopping you from asking Homer for a Yankie Forum, may be good for you all to see events etc.

Thats why I thought I'd put the question here...the the 'Mercun lads n lassies first Trouble with this country it's TOO bloomin big to meet anyone............. 3 states can take 6 hours to negotiate........there ought to be a way to shrink it down...........like what happens naturally , as you get older................!!!!!!!!

It's bad enough flying over, all seems good once you hit the Canadian coast but then there's still hours and hours of flying down to Dallas. Wouldn't be so bad but then to get anywhere else I had to have a connecting flight of another 2 hours. The country is big and mostly bare.

No shit though....................on my aborted trip to CA, I realized I'd spent about 6 hours in't seat, not really hanging about either, and I was only just coming to the end of Pennsylvania!!!.............not even half way to my destination............. Christ...........I used to be a Bike courier and I STILL wept!!!!!!!!

"6 hours in't seat, ...........not even half way to my destination............. Like the sound of that. Over here 24 hours (on a bike) could see you from one end to t'other. A bit limiting for some serious mileage.

Get a job as a Bike courier Robb Unless it's gone to pot, you will see some BIG mileage!!! ( My best was 1450, that was after riding all day, my boss gave me a "round robin" run for the Company Director's of Otis Lifts, Thats where, at 3.30 AM, in darkest Cambridgeshire, i saw my SECOND Unidentified " Beasty Of Bodmin Moor" type animal!!!!!)
