Don't be too hasty.

The "Free, grub, drink, prizes" was a question, not a statement of fact.

The correct answer may make a difference.

Well Mr Blizz, suddenly it's all getting rather formal!
I thought your invitation was good enough - just turn up on a Trumpet & eat, drink, win prizes, get discounts etc. etc.
So, how does a new dealer build a customer base without getting people through the door first? Are you serious that they want people to ring & announce their arrival or this is a wind up?

They might be new, but I'm sure they'll learn quickly.

As above.

The invite is effectively an advert for the evening. I'm assured by the rep, that all are welcome.

They're claiming to be "The World's largest Triumph dealership" .
Interestingly, the website on the invite is for Pure Triumph at Northants, with a link to the B'ham branch.
http://www.puretriumph.co.uk/

"Able to display more than 75 motorcycles and over £50,000 worth of clothing, the 840m2 store is Triumph’s largest outlet in the world."

The same rep also claimed that they're one of only 3 nationally, to be owned by the factory. !! Hence they're getting special treatment in the way of model supplies. Not too sure what the other dealers will make of that, if it's accurate.

There's agood range of new, and some used, bikes in the showroom, but the workshop doesn't look setup yet.
Gotta be worth a night out tho

Meaty, they are next door.

Rumour is that Honda want the other unit and Bentley might be taking over the shoe shop

and about everything else. I believe they also sell cars, but don;t quote me on that.

The reason being that the Birmingham City ground is just up the road.

[edited]:

Wel, quite an impressive place. They'd obviously put a lot of effort into the evening. Good turnout for a wet mid-week evening.

Not fully up and running tho.

Pure Triumph have a good reputation, good luck to them, tho I don't see any reason to change allegiance from existing dealer. (Action at Redditch)

And we didn't win any prizes

Got to agree Rob. I would be very pleased with the attendance last night if I was running the show & especially the number of big wigs from Hinckley showing their support.
Also feel it's all a bit too polished and impersonal but time will tell. In the end, it's all down to personalities & feeling comfortable (?) spending your dosh - at this point I'll stick with Redditch.
And NO we didn't win any prizes!
