Anyone up for a good twisty ride out, feel free to come along.

We did the "best driving road in the world" - Top Gear, a couple of years before they found it!

Tues 15th July to Thurs 24th 08

There's about 4-6 bikes going so far. Nobody is takin pillions.

Definite so far: S3, Daytona, Sv1000, GSXR750

We go relatively quick on the twisty bits.
Elswhere cruise between 70 and 80mph.

We stop every 100 miles for the SV's Appetite

We wait for stragglers at critical junctions - so no need to go as fast or slow or sit in with the group.

The plan is (as ever) dover calais/dunkirk, belguim, alsace, rhine, black forest, switzerland, Italy. And back again.

We don't like motorways, so don't expect much boredom.

We've got accomodation sussed, we've got a fluent German speaker too.

You don't even have to pay any money up front. Just meet at Dover for the 4am ferry - or meet up with any of the chaps en-route - There's lads going from Newcastle, Thirsk, Shrewsbury, Stoke so could meet up on the way.

I'm working on a Google earth route. Will keep anyone posted if the interest arises

'Just meet at Dover for the 4am ferry'!
I could just toss a coin the night before! --
Non of my biking mates seem to do much distance riding these days, always a zillion excuses, even a ride out to the local bike meet seems a bit rare, and any suggestion of a European tour is usually met with a rather blank expression. So on that basis i may well take the opportunity to ride along with you guys, so thanks for the offer.
