1st of May 7pm Bridge.

After the success of the last one to West Bay 20 bikes and 30 people looks like we might have 30 bikes+weather permitting.

[edited]:

If you want it faster start at the back people think that's the slowest place its not.
When I lead I normally tuck the new people in behind me at the front.
Lee who led sets a fair pace for a mixed selection of riders, the trouble is I/We never know the abilatity of the riders who attend hence the road book so you can ride to the destination at 30 mph all the way if you want.
We always slow it up for the last few miles so the tail enders can regroup and don't miss the turning to where we are heading.
I can say for sure most of them don't read the road book they just follow the bike in front.
Later in the year we split into 2 groups as we get an even more mature rider with his wife on the Bonnie reliving their youth in the 60's and early 70's and they like to amble along good on'em still riding, mind you some ride in the sprited group.

Barney, Do you know the chap who's ordered a new S3 and selling his old one (silver) and all the extras off it, I think he was riding a thunderbird - I have a mate who trashed his S3 and may need some bits.

The pace was fine, as you said you gotta keep a sensible pace for those who arent used to riding fast, I know its a big responsibility for you organisers.

I look forward to the next rideout

Was really wanting to meet up for this but some bastard did a hit & run on me on Saturday, thankfully it was at low speed but I have a fractured elbow possible fractured foot and my left knee / leg is bruised to buggery where the bike came down on it.

I think the bike is boardering between being repaired / written off as the assesor said it will have to be taken in for a proper quote to be done.

Hopefully I'll finally get to say hello in June.
