Speed Triple (95-96)

Had my bike on the dyno today and considering I st it up manually the power and fuel line was not far off ideal. Rich below 3000rpm as I suspected so probably look at the float height, needles and seats which I had planned to do. Worth £25 just to confirm though. Kicking out 99bhp at 135mph, not bad for a 1994 I thought. When I stripped the carbs I checked the jets etc against some spec I found on Tinternet as its not in haynes or genuine service manual Can annyone please provide me with the spec of ALL the Mikuni carb components for a 94 speed tripple...jet sizes etc, or point me in the right direction???
Cheers
Pete

Hi Peter, those jets sizes are correct. Did a recent tune & re-shim on a '94 Speed Triple.
Had 125 mains throughout, needles on notch No5 from top, air screws all over the place, ranging from 1.25 turns out to 3.5 turns out, float levels ranged from 13mm to 15mm! Ran like crap.

Final tuning using AFR wideband & Colourtune Plugs settled her with 125's on 1&3, 120 on No2. Needles set at 4th groove from top. Needle number 5E56
Floats set at 13.5mm.
Pilot screws ranging from 2.5 to 2.75 turns out.
Idle set at 1050, throttles balanced @ idle 18cmHg VAC.

Another recent '94 Speed Triple came out the same except 2.25 turns out on all air screws and floats set to 13mm.

Hope this helps you

Sorry Peter, meant to add a bit more. Have you considered DynoJet kit & K&N filter? Have had some awesome results with these kits, and not too expensive, if you're keen on a bit more 'yahoo' feeling:)
Will be a dealer in your area I'd say, call around or ask your dyno guy.
They may even stock them.

Thanks for the replies kerry...pleased the jets and everything is standard. The floats were abot 2.5mm out so too much fuel at low throttle. Much, much better now. Might look at a dynojet kit and K&N. Im there is a litthe wear on the needles and jets so needs doing really. Im at 2 turns out and. Thanks for the support
