Can anyone tell me with a high degree of certainty (no guesses or speculation, please) under what conditions the Daytona engine operates in closed loop? I know at some point it changes over to open loop and runs off of the look-up tables; I just don't know where. Thanks!

When the Af1/Af2 tables are operating in the 14.5-14.7 range.

and the tune constant is also set to 14.7 where it exists in a tune.

So it's not dependent upon throttle position and/or rpm?

AF tables are load versus RPM, so a typical use of closed load is to have 14.5 (or 14.7) in the lower left corner of the AF1 table. Then at low load and low revs, closed loop kicks in. As soon as there's any load and engine speed picks up, it uses table-based fueling. If all values in the AF tables are below 14.5, closed loop mode is never entered. Since the AF2 table is for full load, values in this table are usually below 14.5.

except that if the tune constant is avaiable and incorrect then it may then NOT ever enter closed loop. (from the manual)
