will be our first outing this year an sees a return to the Pembrey circuit in Wales. We are set to get an unheard of 5 races over the Sat / Sun and can't wait! Was speaking with our engine builder last weekend and he said the motor was coming on very well and would be 'fast'. Lets hope so!

Getting close now!

Just a few weeks to go till season kick off. It is going to be a rush to be ready as we still are awaiting on the engine. Have now learnt our original rev counter that we bought new when we started was incorrect and over reading by 50%! Can't wait to see how we go this year

Well we have had the first meeting and what a great time we had! Saturday practice proved 'interesting' as we had a new problem - too much engine for the chassis! sliding everywhere. A chat with a couple of other crews suggested a change of tyre pressure which we did and in the first race things were much better. We had a great battle with three other outfits and were told the commentator spent more time on our battle than the race leaders etc Race 2 resulted in a DNF when the engine decided to eject an oil filler cap.
Sundays race started with a great battle again and just as we were winning it we got a bit out of shape on the exit of a long left and slid for about 30ft sideways before taking to the grass! We managed to find the circuit and get a race finish The second race was ok but we were getting tired .
Last race on Sunday was a special handicap race and this saw us be the first outfit off. We managed to lead for 6 out of the 7 laps being overtaken just after the last lap flag went out. We finished second at the chequered and are thrilled to bits:)
Next round is Lydden on 5th and 6th May.

Nice one Vicar!!

Hope to be at Lydden, I should be able to ride by then.

What tyre pressures are you running?
If your on 10" X 5" s I would have thought you want to around 16psi in the front, 12 in the back and about 20-22 in the chair.

Thanks for kind replies guys. A podium indeed

Nick we settled on 20 front and rear and 25 in the chair which seemed fine. May have a go at lowering them when next out to see. Thanks for the advice and hopefully see you at Lydden?
