[edited]:
Weather is looking good, salt is pretty much washed off the roads. We could just talk shit over a burger or skip off down towards Bury hill or somewhere and talk shit there instead Summer is just around the corner, what about a regular wednesday evening meet/ride?

Sounds a good idea to me, can't make it this week as I'm visiting my kids but a decent evening and some social diary shuffling I ought to be able to make it regularly. It's not that far from Crawley and there's a good choice of roads to ride.

I was busy doing some cleaning up at home (Thursday mornings is when some people come round and spread all my rubbish down the street so I like to get it ready for them the night before, and this week is the added bonus of recycling, so that's an extra wheelie bin full for them to play with). Rather a shame as it was a cracking evening, even if I did see it from the inside of the house. I must get the rear nearside indicator fixed before I head up there, I gather the Surrey plod are a bit hot on pulling bikes. Since a lamp change didn't sort it I reckon the wire's come adrift again..oh well, something to do the weekend. As for recognising each other.....I don't reckon on there being too many purple n cream Adventurers around.

TQ. The crowds go there on sundays when the sun comes out in the summer. And there is short hop down the main road and then a turn off onto a b road with some nice twisty bits that goes down the car park and cafe at Arundel which is another popular biking meet. From there you can pick up some nice roads down towards the coast and back up to box hill again, or follow the same route back. Or you can hop onto the m25 for a couple of junctions to junction 2a where there is another bikers cafe, and from there you can split off down a nice twisty route down across romney marshes to Rye. In the summer when the weather is a bit more reliable we should get some of us to meet up there, and we could buzz down to arundel or kent and meet up with G and the other south coast bods who can lead the way on the local roads. it would be a good day out

I have my kids this weekend, and the littlun has cubs St Georges Day parade to attend (whether she likes it or not!). Weekends tends to be non starters for me anyway, either got kids or off down to Hove to my gfs place. Wednesdays should be possible though. Can you still get in the car park from the side road that goes up the hill or is the entrance only off the A24? It's been ages since I even went past there.

Don't go to Boxhill, it's full of those nasty motorbicyclist types.

Quote: Can you still get in the car park from the side road that goes up the hill or is the entrance only off the A24? | Yes, both entrnaces are open. I prefer the entrance on the hill side rather than the one off the A24. Less chance of getting stuffed up the arse by some myopic twat. It has happened.
