I'm considering fitting Gilles rearsets to my '97 t595,but before i finally take the plunge i'm concerned that they may not fit with the Triumph high pipe in place.I've searched on the site but can't find a definitive answer from existing posts, anyone help?

nope, never had the high pipe on mine.....but it would only need spacers to make them fit in any event.

I have a set, though not fitted as yet!
They come with spacers - 10mm I think, but not sure if the need longer ones to miss the SSSA & High Pipe!

just ordered my gilles sets but gotta wait a few weeks. apparently nobody has them in stock. i guess its not a very common model for gilles. was quoted between 2 weeks and 10 weeks from different retailers so remains to be seen when they will come in stock.

Let me know how you get on with them James when they arrive (where have you ordered from btw?) I've had to put mine on hold, corrosion on my wheels needed dealing with first so they've been off for powder coating this week.
While i'm here, thanks for your input Chris & did your levers arrive yet? I have Pazzo shorties on mine but saw your thread too late to add my bit.I get on great with the brake but wish that i'd had the normal length clutch!!! Got them from HPS,very helpful people for future reference, check out the site.

Nope, not yet - phoned "Speedycom" today - apparently my card # was not recognised?
But, they didn't contact me???

The young lady tried again, whilst I was talking to her - all OK, so should arrive early next week!

It will result in me getting some "Stick" from my mates, as I've opted for the "Blue Anodised"(STD length) - to go with all the other parts on my bike - that are also Blue! - fuck em!

Quite right too, when your mates start paying towards your purchases then maybe they can have some input eh? I picked black levers with the gold adjusters, the bike is bright enough without me going over the top.I've had my wheels done grey (havn't seen them yet, pick up in morning) and just added gunmetal dzus fasteners.

Arrived today - bloody quick service!

Fitted OK, look great - haven't had time to try them yet?

First time I've adjusted the clutch in 12K miles, as I had to disconnect the cable to get the correct "Free Play" and fit the lever!

the rearsets came in last thursday and i picked them up from the shop on saturday. just went to my local bike shop cause it was the easiest option for me with these plus they had a shot waiting time compared to most places even if they were a touch more expensive. i went for them in black an very happy with first impressions. they look like a great piece of kit and just need to get round to fitting them. also they are very very light, felt like an empty box lol

Looking at mine - the Fitting seems pretty straightforward!

It's the bloody "Adusting" them to suit your preferences that will take the time!!

fitting is a peice of piss, adjusting them is easy too. Just watch out that you only use the holes that are mentioned in the blurb for placing the footrests.
