Firstly, hi. I'm Tim and I'm building a kit car with the T595 at it's heart. The car has to pass an SVA test, which is basically is a really long in depth MOT. The emissions have to be the same as for a tintop (ie low and using a CAT). I have an exhaust sorted (and did have a manifold until I decided to re-mount the engine). I have connected it all up, and it has run (no prop shaft yet, so just the engine) and it runs ok. The problem is, I have heavily modified the airbox (now runs with a large K&N coming out if the airbox) and obviously changed the manifold and added a cat! I would think it might take some tweaking with TuneBoy (not yet purchased) - but how? The thing is I can ditch the cat exhaust and retune after the SVA (it wont need to pass any emission test after then!), so I can see the benefit of a wideband etc, but the problem is, I can't set it up in the first place as I cant drive it on the road to re-map. No roller road (for cars) I have found touches TuneBoy, so how can I sort out the emissions? Inline Image This is how she looked several months back! What do you think? Have i bitten off my than I can chew?!

You just need a rolling road that's happy for you to sit their with your laptop. So they need to be able to give you AFR readings and you need to fiddle with your laptop. As you have a t595 engine; you'll have a SAGEM. If you have a SAGEM you can do real time mapping. So, if they can hold you at the required level for emissions (what ever that is), you can then jig it up or down in realtime for the test. Thinking about it, isn't the emissions test done under no load. i.e. they sit there with the engine at a set revs and take a reading? Is so, you can do that without a rolling road to simulate load. You just need a WBO2 or similar to measure what you are doing.

I was thinking of fitting a wideband and using the TuneAnalyze program to help out later on. I think you are right, the test is done at something like 3/4 max rpm speed, and fast idle (off the top of my head). They also test for noise! Has anyone used the TuneAnalyze program? Doing some thread searching didn't show up much recent stuff...

[edited]:
TuneAnalyze? I've written a TuneAnalyzer which was never released (data input too slow for tuning). However, the current Wbo2Analyzer is the same but it uses the inputs of a www.wbo2.com unit.

Sorry, forgive me, I do mean your program (WB02Analyze). I wasn't sure hw viable it was. I couldn't find much on the forum from people who have used it. I have read all of your posts on it (as far as I can see!). I tlooks like a great little program and a big well done & thankyou for taking the time to write it. I was not planning on WB due to the extra cost (this thing is costing me enough as it is!), but considering the exhaust swap etc, I think it may be a worthwhile investment. Plus if I wire it in now, it will save ripping my loom apart at a later date. Homertrix, any tips/tricks to wiring it all? I was thinking of running the WB off of a 5amp fuse (that I would normally use for an accessary socket). I am struggling to see how many wires NEED to be connected to accurate log. I am assuming TuneBoy logs rpm, TPS etc, and your software effectively matches that to the WB log and assists with the correct to the map. Is this correct or did you feed TPS/rpm directly into the WB?

Hey, I'd like to know more about that program! I just hooked up an Innovate WBO2 setup on my bike, but on yesterday's ride the idiot (don't want to mention any names) pressed the record button twice, instead of once! Hence, I don't have any data to analyse! However, I'm going out on another street ride later today, then doing a dyno run later in the week.

It only works with the www.wbo2.com unit. www.TuneBoy.co.uk/wbo2analyzer.aspx should have all the info you need. Everything comes off the wbo2, it spits out a PCIII map to import into your Tuneboy map.
