No not the dodgy american restaurant, though that could be the subject of another thread. hooter on my 955i has gone all squeaky, no idea why, before I start fiddling with the electrics - anyone had a similar problem. Current dB level is just about inaudible, only left with main beam now to keep those bastards in tin cans awake.

Yeah, mine did the same on my 955i S3. Replaced it with a Stebel magnum from Nippy Normans http://www.nippynormans.c.....m=2&mitem=6 Much better than the original and dead easy to fit.

Dazed, There is a small adjustment screw with a locknut on the front of the horn. Try adjusting it, It should be the source of your problem.

What Riggsy said. They can also catch on the fairing which stops them vibrating properly.

Cheers for that Riggsy, I thought you could adjust it - though, does it make it more audible??

Yes, (Except to Volvo drivers, apparently ) Truth is you need to experiment. It actually changes the tone of the horn, however it will be more efficient at different settings, and therefor louder. (Down to the natural resonance of the diaphram) You want it set at its resonant point.
