As a cheapskate, but registered member I can have a photo album and post stuff, but it'll cost me £9.55 to find out how to do it? 
Can't we have a smaller version for non- premiers?
And whilst I'm at it, how about a movie format that doesn't require I buy a Windows license to view?
I don't mean to come across as a miserable git, I just think Boycies help movies would be more helpful if everyone could see them.
I can help with re- encoding on my Mac if required...

2. I have windows media player and it is free .. Where software is concerned I am a tight arse ... which SW do you have to buy?.. which media format did you have in mind? ... AVI? .... oh you have a MAC ... naaaaaaahhhhhhhh FRO

I realise it's been quite a while since you started that Thread on uploading photo's. Now, the last year or so, back then I could do it fine... a spell sick, then my PC shat in the bed, a while in jail (bogus charge), get out, new PC, new ISP, it all changed and when I finally got the Net to accept my new email address/PW, I log-on, and I can't load a photo to save my life. I saw your post about the http://www.t595.net/media.....&download=1 Where should I be to enter that, I mean, "Create Album" or where ?

William ... yep ... you need to create an album first ...
Once created you can then add photos to it ... make sure they are jpeg and not too big .. and you should be good to go

How do I tell the Download Routine that it is JPEG ?
This is the Address of the File I'm Attempting to Upload :
C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\My Documents\My Pictures

I entered all that and clicked on it, and it rejected it, saying they only accept JPEG files. Now I looked at the 'Properties' of my image and it IS a Jpeg file. I tried to just tag \JPEG on the tail end of my address, right after the word "Stubby", and it still rejected it with the same error message, Man, it's like I'm THIS CLOSE...

open it with "imaging" or "mspaint" (you should have these) ...do a "save as" and make sure jpg is selected when you do the save...
it needs to be less then 2 meg (I think) in size

Hey, Mister Boycie !
Alright, finally got 'er done; seems my taking photographs with my little Chinese camera set at its full 10 Megapixels, results are fine for a posterization but simply too huge for the Net. But, by shooting with sharpness set to VGA, hey ! Bob's yer uncle !
Now, how do I manage to get one of these little pictures INTO a Post to a Thread ?

it will show a 5 digit number at the end
simply put [ photo=nnnnn ] in the post without the spaces
i.e.

Damnit...
I did as instructed (I think).I was writing a post to put into a Thread, I'd just written the Subject, hit [ENTER] to take me to the big square where your Post gets written, but before I began typing I entered Photo Album Image.
And all I got was this stupid square with a red X in its center.
Maybe I should've tried to insert the photo AFTER the text ?

OK, I'll be the first to say that posting an image on this board is far more convoluted than it should be, but once you understand how it works it's quite simple. The problem comes from the lack of a 'preview' function before your post is posted - there's no way on this board to verify you've got the code or the image right before comitting, so it's really a leap of faith.
Anyway, this is how it works. Bear in mind:
a) I've been on San Miguel all night, and
b) due to the above mentioned lack of a 'preview' before posting, I'm doing this blind.
Anyway, the theory goes:
1. find the image in your gallery (or anyone elses) you want to show. Let's choose http://www.t595.net/album/album.asp?img=20805
2. view the 'properties' of the image, which should give you the url of 'http://www.t595.net/album/photo/20805x500.jpeg'
3. replace the "img=20805" with "photo=20805x500", and wrap it in square brackets.
Let's see if it works...

When you said to "wrap it in square brackets" you meant to do it for the entire "img=20805" portion with the new portion being the Photo Album Image and ".jpeg" on the tail-end of the new URL you just 'built'.
I admit to being confused because instead of 'photo=20805x500'
it actually shows 'photo/20805x500'.
Now, does that mean the two 'phrases' are interchangeable ?
Waitaminute, I think you just put yhe URLs in the wrong places.
I'm gonna try. If it don't work, fuck it, I surely ain't afraid to try 'er agan (and again and again and again...)

Who gives a shit 'how it works' ? It obviously DOES work, though the magic phrase (by itself) can apparently only be used for photo's on the file, like (I can't help it; gotta do 'er again...)
