Then check the drain nipple on the tank next time it's off. Mine was fully corroded and was carefully drilled out with a 2mm bit. The nipple was totally corroded and you can obviously feel when you're through the corrosion with te drill.

Mines bunged up as well, on my jobs to do list, I'm going to remove the nipple and drill a big hole in the fecker

Drill it BIG

Had the same problem with mine a few years ago.
First time I was very cautious and drilled it out with a small bit.
Less than a year later it was totally blocked up & corroded again, so I drilled it out using a big fecker and its been fine since.
Its a good idea to give both the vent and overflow tubes a good squirt to WD or similar regularly, because thats much easier than the hassle of removing a dozen parts just to get to the nipples.

Too much talk about nipples where the wife !

No need, just drill out on a low chuck speed and you'll feel when it's through apart from which the nipple is probably corroded in place.
