...when it comes to setting up email accounts and stuff like that. Has anyone got the patience to help me sort out my 595 mail? This is what I'm getting in my change email details thingy: The settings for your POP3 email client are as follows: Incoming Server mail.t595.net Outgoing Server mail.t595.net Email Address oggyknobbs@t595.net Account Login oggyknobbs@T595net Account Password ********* I do not understand this bit. Please note that in order to send emails, you need to tick the "My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication" in the properties of the account. If your mail client supports it, you may also use HTTPMail using http://mail.t595.net:8080 as the address. Someone please help

so what is your email application you are using to pull down mail from mail.t595.net ? OUTLOOK or similar ? In its setup / properties there should be a small box to tick to achieve the "My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication" thingy specified above. In the Outlook WIZARD, after entering the server etc - click on 'More Settings', then the Otgoing Server Tab to find the box to tick ... HTTP mail - HOTMAIL is an example - try the address !

Outlook Express If I go to Tools > Accounts an 'Internet Accounts' window opens with option buttons down the side. If I select my account then hit the 'Properties' button it opens another window 'My Properties' with tabs across the top. If I select the 'Servers' tab at the bottom of the window there is a box that is ticked - 'My server requires authentication and a 'Settings' button. If I click the settings button it opens another window 'Outgoing Mail Server'. This seems to give me 2 options 1) Use same settings as my incoming mail server 2) Log on using - if I select that I get a field for Account Name and another for Password Now I'm stuck!

If I select the 'Servers' tab at the bottom of the window there is a box that is ticked - 'My server requires authentication and a 'Settings' button. thats good then ! fulfills the rqt ... In the final option you mention, try using 1) - use same settings etc. My OUTLOOK has this set OK, then I have to go to more settings etc to tick the 'authentication' box.

Yeah it's already set to option 1 - Use same settings as my incoming mail server. When I originally signed up I think I used a hotmail email address. Will this affect anything? Is there a way I can check I'm getting emails via my 595 account?

I could send you one ! If you had a Hotmail address it would NOT be using the POP interface to T595 - you'd have to use the http://mail.t595.net:8080 as the address. OK, I'll try now ...

Well I have to log onto 595 and open my 595 mail box as opposed to just checking my OE account.

ah - no, thats not right ! the whole point of giving T595's POP server detail to OE is so that it will get it for you !

so did you effectively start all over again - removing any references to old Hotmail stuff ? and in OE, you have left it as shown earlier ? NB - see the subtle difn twixt these 2 things ! Email Address oggyknobbs @t595.net Account Login oggyknobbs @T595net

OK I tried to change my email address using the Profile Tools, entered my own email address (******@getprintwise.co.uk), clicked the non-disclose box and got the message: The email address is already registered with T595net Edit: Just had a look and it's gone back to oggyknobbs@t595.net

Dids you know that in 'Options' on T595 mail screen, there is a Tab which allows you to redirect mail .... so if for whatever reason your OE isnt 'pulling' T595 mail from the POP address, T595 can catually forward mail to wherever you specify - eg ~~~~~@getprintwise.co.uk
