They love the '08 Speed Triple, test by Roland Brown. Documented mods, well worthwhile but not really a new model. Why fix what ain't broke ? They reckon, by this summer, they'll have sold 50,000 of 'em. Also : New Tiger Adventure, with new generation triple of about 1200cc, sometime within the next 2 years. Harley are looking into buying Triumph ! Haven't we heard this one before ? and Triumph are moving into the massive Indian market. There's also a full page devoted to Triumphs racing efforts. And...... plans for a new Triumph one make series to run alongside the 675 series in 2009 This time for modified Bonnie Thruxtons, with 675 front ends and decent rear shocks. Finally, one question on the letters page : As our tax discs state we are riding bicycles, why shouldn't we use bus lanes ?

And, more importantly, because Ken Livingstone fears it might be a vote loser

The change that would make most sense is to get rid of bus lanes altogether. Then all traffic can make best use of the available space, instead of leaving 1/2 of the road unoccupied for 80% of the day.

It's nearer 90% around here are all the bus lanes are permanent so you can't use them at all

I'll have you know that the £36,000,000.00 the council have spent on our bus lanes are well spent. In fact only this very morning I saw ONE bus on the 35 minute ride in.

We have a bus lane that runs along the side of work.Police nicked a woman the other day going the wrong way up it after passing 2 NO ENTRY signs and on her mobile phone. She now has more points than Derby County . Mind you on a serious note a 9 year old girl was knocked off her bike(broken leg and pelvis) by a car last year as she crossed the bus lane from one cycle path to the other on a marked out cycle crossing and guess what?.. ..the driver of the car said .."It wasn't my fault, she just went straight across in front of me" at which point I reminded him it was a bus lane to which he replied"But other people use it".Well that makes it ok then..............NOT. This bus lane is about 1000 yrds long and some people drive down it so fast they don't even get picked up on our CCTV system.

Its frustrating, Here, even he busses don't use the bus lanes in certain parts. Total waste of 50% of the road. Do I use them? Hell Yes, on occasion. Its just stupid not to
