[edited]:
"Riders start to gather from anywhere as early as 7.AM (ish) in the High St/Crofton Road, Locksbottom. The ride follows the route of the A21, the M25/A21 heading south towards Sevenoaks, past Tonbridge, around Tunbridge Wells, now around Lamberhurst (used to go through, now bypass), past the infamous Scotney Castle ( you cant see it from the road though), then further south through the little village of Flimwell, along through Hurst Green, then bypassing Robertsbridge. Onwards through Johns Cross (Speed Cam 30mph), then further on south, past the turning for the historic town of Battle, and further on along the A21 past Sedlescombe to Hastings, East Sussex, the total journey is about 55 miles." http://www.maydayrun.co.uk/mainpage.html I went to Locksbottom once, but it was heaving, so after that I just joined in at the M25/A21 junction.

For those anticipating visiting this event, the old bill will be out in force especially on A21 and A259 routes. They nicked hundreds last year so avoid nailing it until at least 20 miles away from Hastings. The Pevensey bypass is their favourite.

they're always on the Pevensey bypass, 99% of the year they use forward facing cameras, apart from mayday lol and theres no camera at johns cross anymore. best way in is at the johns cross round a about go straight on and go through battle, really tight high street where all those race exhausts bounce of the shop fronts and make some proper noise just watch out for the pitchforks!

i'm actually coming back from my first weekend away in 6 months on mayday so hopefully I'll be passing all the bikes as they leave in the evening. Anyone doing any gay overtaking towards me will taste my bumper
