Mal & Dom have been on a track day at Oulton Park today & yes you guessed Mal had an off at Druids, he's a bit beaten up couple of broken fingers & put his shoulder out but true to form he's still laughing & joking, he was taken to hospital & is a bit pissed off because they cut his leathers off, don't know about his bike yet he's not looked at it yet. he's on his way home now & Dom is looking after him might not be a good idea to phone tonight in case Janet doesn't know about it yet ! I'm seeing him in the morning so I'll keep you all posted.

Which one of his personalities was riding at the time? How's he going to wipe his arse with broken fingers? ...I know, he'll have to shuffle across the carpet like a mutt. Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Oops!....Sorry to hear it Mal. I feel your pain, and I was trying to forget my own but no you had to bloody well remind me! There's little escape from the leather cutters though and for that I feel truly sorry for you. Get well and back at it.

....here is a section of email correspondence between Mal & me regarding the onboard footage of Oulton I sent him.......how prophetic..... -----Original Message----- From Sent: 02 April 2008 22:52 To: Subject: DVD no problem Mal....be in the post tomorrow. There's about 12mins of of onboard footage, a complete race. The stuff is about 3 or 4 years old so there may have been a few changes to the circuit since then...I think that there is now an Asda at Old Hall.. anyway.. you can blame me if it all goes a bit X Man!!! RL ... I've received the DVD and it's just the job. Many thanks for that matey ... There also an Odeon multiplex at Lodge I think .... quite handy if one bins it there .. Thanks again Mal

Seen him today & he is still in good spirits but his shoulder is very sore ! he is a bit subdued but that is mainly down to the concussion, the bike is a mess we think it's been upside down at some point as the top of the tank is pretty badly scratched in fact I'd say the tank is probably the best surviving panel, as for repair it could be touch & go. it's his right shoulder thats causing the pain so he might not be posting for a few days although he was talking about getting his streetfighter back on the road. I'm sure he'll apreciate the kind sentiments you have all posted
