Seat cowl supplied by The Tank Shop in Scotland. I also oredered their alloy front mudguard. Once delivered, it won't be long before I have an excuse to post another photo LOL. No lacquer on the cowl and tank. I removed the lacquer from the engine casings. I don't like lacquer. Once it chips the weather can get in behind it (as it did on the engine casings). That is why I removed it.

Hi Chris My Guzzi was sold on Ebay for a very good price (2 guys were chasing it). I do miss having it around, and can see myself buying a classic Guzzi in the future. I rather like the 750S or maybe an 850 T3 for a more relaxed ride, as I will never sell the Thruxton. Inline Image Inline Image Inline Image

Tried "Belgom Alu?" - it's a chemical cleaner, that apparently seals over to protect the aluminium! I've been using it for years + solvol + mothers!

The straight line to the bottom edge of the cowl was getting to me. The curved bottom edge formed with an electric file has improved the look IMO. Now I have a gentle undulating curve from the front of the tank to the rear. Inline Image Inline Image Inline Image
