Just my flippin luck ordered a new battery , arrived two days later, dam terminals are the opposite way round.

yup, leads arne't long enough....piss easy job to extend them with a visit to halfrauds and a bit of tape. Buy two short leads, two nut and bolts to joine them together to the existing and tape them up. Bosh, job done.

Sorted, got our sparky at work to make me up a couple of extensions leads, 4 crimps and a couple of m6 X 10mm setscrews borrowed from our workshop

hmmm, I'm not grasping this ... so looking down on it lets say the battery posts are normally:-

so , physically reverse (turn thru 180 degrees) to return to:

OK, if the posts arent central to the battery sides, then yes, they will be a few cms away than normal, but doesnt this just put them back close to the leads ?

because it moves the connections from the front of the box to the back of the box extending the leads to crossover plus depth of box and there aint enough slack....

Just for the record, the battery would have been a straight forward old for new exchange on the Later 955i Model Years 01-04, on earlier models ie t595 & t509 you have to extend the leads there too short to cross over as both Negative & positive terminals as stated above.
