STOP PRESS!!!!
OSRAM now do a "NIGHT BREAKER" lamp. This allegedly gives up to 90% more light and a 35 metree longer beam!
I've just spoken to them and they are getting back to me with prices and availability H1/H4/H7

I missed the cut-off for ordering this week. I do a weekly order, so hopefully can get them for the end of next week.
I'm ordering a box of H4's and H7's.
Older Triumphs use the H4 twin filament
New ST, Tiger and 675 Daytona use the H7, but not the H9's as they are already a whiter colour, due to being a higher Kelvin.

"up to" is the key phrase usually used.
The best improvemen I ever saw was after fitting Silverstars in the T595. It depends on the reflectors. lens, etc etc.

Those who have already had SILVERSTARS know how much better they are over standard, but FUCK ME!!!! these new iones are good.
I've just fitted the H4's to my car. I've taken a few pics.
The first is with SILVERSTARS, which I already had fitted, the second with the NIGHTBREAKERS.
The one of the front of the car has the NIGHTBREAKER in the R/H headlamp (OK, left as you look at it) and the SILVERSTAR on the left. I should have taken a comparison with the standard H4's, but you get the drift.
All on LOW BEAM. The photos don't do justice. Can't wait for the H7's to arrive.

First impressions are that they are indeed an improvement over the original shite and the Silverstar I had fitted. I haven't tried them on the road yet, but if it's as god an improvement as the car was, then that's a bonus.
You can't really tell in the photos I'm afraid, but there is an improvement, especially in the view of the road. As you can see it's a wee bit frosty, so I ain't trying them out yet

I'm sure the light is whiter than the standard, or Philips Vision Plus that I've used previously.
I adjusted the main beam at the same time, but I'm sure it throws much further up the road aswell
Still not as good as car headlights, or as good as you might need on unlit roads, but I guess the reflectors would need a re-design for that.
Money well spent I reckon

Definately whiter than the standard lamps and the Silverstars (which are similar to the Philips ones)
THe only improvement on these is surely HID, but that's an expensive option I think.

The Daytona has low and high beam in the same lamp, so it nust be H4's!!
I'll let you know when they arrive as I've run out and only got H7's in stock at the moment.

No joy on getting it any cheaper than £49.99 at present, which you can do direct with them anyway with FREE carriage.

yes, seen it at that price plus/minus a few pence - hadnt checked on carriage costs tho ...
The spec is spot on for the charge rate and other features for an 80 aH battery - also the bit about no need to disconnect whilst on charge.
