I'm contemplating rewriting the site as the old code is a bit unmanageable; so it would be a good time to readdress any issues.

If you have a feature request; put it here. Or, in fact, anything at all you like/don't like about the site.

(ps the shop will definately disappear).

A bit more FireFox compatibility would be good. I use it on my home machine (I'm at work at the mo so it's IE in case your checking )

The one that really iritates is the smiley popup window. Cannot be resized or scrolled in FireFox.

dunno really, certainly dont have a shopping list of changes ..... quite like the look and feel .... features / functions etc etc.

I guess a more effective thread searching tool ? - could Google be interfaced ?

Oh yes, and a way to find pics in albums .... but gawd knows how youd do that with a vague tag ....

more comprehansive / broader scope / sharper tools for Mods

The format of this site is strong because it is NOT like the generic sites of various other forums - it is also simple to use and navigate.

My only niggle is it's a bit cumbersome with pictures.
It would be nice if photos were easier to upload ( drag and drop? )
and if you could upload more than one at a time.

And to include a photo in a thread, it would be nice not to have to do the whole Inline Image - change 'img' to 'photo' rigmarole....

Apart from that, - top site

ps - just say "NO" to animated avatars - they are the Devil's Sperm.......

A small, maybe one or two line signature maybe? But definatly no images in signatures.
Possibly something like a simple link for a personal web page or something instead of a small icon in the user profile page which no one knows is there

Maybe not?
Just a thought.

The ability to delete your own post entirely (before someone else posts), so that when people double and sometimes treble post they can delete it themselves.

Gazza, I use Firefox, the smilie window allows scrolling on mine, but not resizing.

Best thing I like is --- no matter how long a thread gets, it stays on the one page. Just scroll up and down, no loading pages. Please please don't change that.

no problems scrolling the smiley window with Firefox here too.

Really like the layout/features of this site - don't want animated avatars - would have to switch them off and then would miss some of the gems from viking!! Looking at the posts per forum I would reduce the top level menu by combining some, but then the Expand/Collapse group sort of negates the need for that All in all excellent..

I'm on Firefox 2.0.0.14 too and I can scroll and resize the smilie window.

A "New posts since last visit" button might be useful - its my preferred method of browsing on other fora that have one.

I like it like it is.

Simple.

I guess posting pics might be easier, from the difficulty some newcomers have.

Otherwise, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I use mainly the message board & have always found it easy to use, the chat room could do with a coat of paint & some new wallpaper though & can we have a smoking shelter outside the Hinckley arms please.

Definitely the ability to tag pics in the albums would be cool...
say 4-5 keywords that you could fill in ... (or not because none of the pics up to now are tagged) ... only see tags on "edit album" screen but a search option on the top level of the album looks for these tags ... results returned by relevance

People mentioned having a tag field for searching against; why don't we just search against the description (which hardly anyone ever enters info into )

People don't enter info into description because there is rarely a point to doing it ....
but if you could search the pics people might be more inclinded to tag them ... or enter info into the description

I thought tag fields would be easier for you to code ... search on description would be a start

That gets my vote too. Please , Please, please , please don't change that!

TBH I don't have any real probs with the site. I'd keep the chat room if it entails zero work, I've had some right laffs in there but it's true that those laff's are very far apart.

In terms of fixing, I've had problems linking (ie using the arrows within a "sticky") from "sticky" threads back to the latest unread ones. Not a show stopper but slightly annoying on occasion.

Other than that: Keep up the good work

Could it be that its a way of increasing their click count? isn't that how ratings work?
