Fantastic, I'm sure Young would have also finished in the top 5 had he not had the rider through penalty. He was 6th when he went in.

Mind you just look at the Albanian Championship to see how shit Triumphs really are.

Mixed feelings, the bike that led for most of the race is from our local bike dealers (really nice people ) but when a Triumph sticks it under a Yamaha well !!!!
I think Big Dave had a good vantage point where he was marshalling.

Top days racing all round though

if anyones interested according to my programme 51 bikes 9 of which were Triumphs, & guess what ?

From the last couple of laps it looks like Richards was happy to follw him round for most of the race as he really sped up over the last couple of laps and the overtake at Lodge was absolutely amazing.

BTW he's also leading the championship

I was wondering where you were, I kept scanning the crowd but couldn't see you.

What a fantastic result, been too long since a triumph won in this class

Tried to phone/text you a number of times but the network coverage was bad as you most likely know.

We watched the first superbike race from the banking between Hilltop and Knickerbrook. I thought you were at Marshall box 15 at first and tried to text you but no network.

What happened with John Mcguiness in the 2nd Supersport race? We were watching opposite Cascades just past the Foggy Centre and the big TV screen was obstructing our view.

Did you pick up the superbike who crashed at the end of qualifying on Sunday, Ma thought that she could see you but you know what women are like, you can't argue with them..

Are you at Mallory?

The mobile very rarely works round Oulton so no worries on that score.

No idea what happened to Mcguiness but Ma is right, that was me at the end of play on sunday with the superstock 600. Was not amused by that one either as the bikes that came past us while dealing with it didn't slow down one bit, so needless to say it was a tad hairy, esp when you take into account the fact that my team was made up of two rookies and then me.

Fantastic meeting that one: it had a bit of everything. Pity a few riders got hurt, sounds like they'll be alright though.

That's racing! It 'aint easy and it can be ferkin' dangerous.

Big Dave, had a great novice year 2007 thanks to you and all that volunteer to make it happen.

Oh and nearly forgot.

Leon Haslam you TWAT! I'm sure everyone will say what a lovely guy he is and I'm sure they'd be right but that move on Sykes was deplorable!

He needs to book himself onto the CSS for extra training.

McGuiness had a coming together with Aaron Walker. They knocked each other off at I think Hislops Esses (same place as Haslam knocking off Sykes). There was a bit of fisticuffs from one then they shook hands and sat down right in front of where we were watching. There seat was later used by Sykes.
Some good places to watch at Oulton, sat on one corner opposite a Marshalls post and you could see the guy whos house is near the Knockerbrook entrance sitting on his patio watching the racing!

Great day oot.
Ells.
