Has been slower than we wanted but thats life! Have just had a new oil tank made ready. Had a long chat with the chap who made it and he was very knowledgeable and 100% confident that most, if not all, our problems were oil tank related. Next job will be to carry out some venting work on the fairing and then hopefully get the motor to our engine builder if money permits.

Well things are moving forwards. The fairing mods are well under way and I have just removed the engine reday to take for rebuild. Things being ok will see us out for the last round of the CRMC championships at Croft on 6th and 7th October and then onto Lydden for the Sidecar Burnup the following weekend. Yipee!

Man I'd like to see ya'll run, not many Daytonas running around here, mostly jap bikes (no offense to anyone) and a few buells. If you don't mind how about sharing some of the mods done to the engine, not any of the mods that you might want to keep private, but just some that will provide more hp. Do you have much done to the heads such as milling, port & polish, or flow bench? How about larger injectors or throttle body mods? Sorry for all the questions but I just aquired a spare engine which i plan on building up and one day dropping in the bike.

John, Afraid that you're barking up the wrong tree here, The Vicar runs a T150V trident engine, the old pushrod 6 valve aircooled motor from the late 60s and 70s. Having said that though, last year there was a Triumph only track day at Brands Hatch and there was a Daytona powered sidecar outfit there, he did some reasonably quick demo laps but I can't remember how much power he said that he had. As I understand it, the easiest and most reliable route to better power is with a TuneBoy and dyno time to adjust fuelling and ignition. There's lots about it on the site including a number of ready made "tunes" that you can down load straight to your bike's ECU via a laptop or pc.
