So then, I bought a new Shoei XR-1000 to replace my aged and only slightly dented Interceptor. Wow. Super comfy over a distance rather than just for five minutes in the shop, padding that comfortably covers the ears and deadens noise, weighs almost 20% less than the old lid, the vents work and I'm impressed with the difference the pin lock system makes. Never thought there would be so much helmet evolution in five years. Definitely recommended to anyone thinking of a new lid.

I agree, I've also got an XR-1000 - very comfy!
