Hi

does anyone know if the 955 tiger (53 plated) shock can be rebuilt? If so, any recommendations on who to use?

If its not possible, what make of shock would you recommend. At a reasonable price please?? No ohlins as the rider is married and has limited cash

I put a Hagon on my VFR800. It was £255 plus about 3 hours of my time.

Pip,
I had an 03 Tiger which I think would be the same as your 53 plate. The Kayaba shock on that was not rebuildable.

I replaced it with a Wilbers which was a much better bit of kit.

Cheers for the info guys, after a bit of trawling i've decided on a Wilbers, don't suppose we have any american cousins willing to purchase one (with my ££'s or should i say $$'s) for me. We seem to pay in £ what you guys pay in $$ even after checking with an aquaintance in Germany there doesn't seem to be much of a saving

No doing to good on the health front. The tumor isn't responding to treatment, so i'm scheduled for an op in 4 weeks. Still can't ride but am in the process of ensuring the bikes are in a good saleable condition in case i have to sell quickly (if you catch my drift)

I tend to just lurk on this site these days, as i don't feel like saying much, but life goes on and you have to make the best of it. Oh and thanks for asking

Cheers Guy's, Its appreciated.

Hmmm Maxton / Ohlins / Penske! Yes please!!!!! Used to have a penske on my Daytona, until i had a moment of madness and flogged her to my best mate for a song (the bike that is)

Slight problem though, i'm having to work reduced hours due to treatment etc so unfortunatley i'm on reduced pay. Only another 2 months at work then i qualify for full pay whilst i'm off (upto 26 weeks p/a) Until then its a struggle enough to pay bills / mortgage etc

Oh well there is always the lottery
