After soaping her down I couldn't resist cracking one off over her; despite being an absolute bitch earlier on.

I was in a repair shop near me recently getting a new back bumper sprayed after some old biddy drove into it in a car park.

There was what looked like a home made cart up on a hydrolic lift.
It was basicly an RSJ with a couple of cross members and brackets welded on and a couple of wishbones bolted onto the brackets for the suspension on each wheel.
The engine was mounted on some equally dodgy looking brackets on the RSJ.

I said something to the effect of "The home made cart looks like fun", and the manager pointed to the complete monocoque body of a TVR Tuscan on carpet tiles on the floor on the other side of the workshop and said "Its the world most expensive RSJ on wheels".

Yep

All TVRs are space frame chassis. That's both their strength [ high rigidity and low weight] and their weakness[ prone to rusting and rather fragile if struck - especially by something like an HGV ]

The light vehicular weight coupled with relatively high powered and high torque lumps beneath the bonnet is what makes 'em so much fun, and has been the ethos of Trevors since 1948.

But perhaps more than that is that they were and are different and British to boot in a sea of bland motoring indifference. They also bucked the trend in the face of the health and safety stasi and over the top technical add ons like ABS and the like. Furthermore a typical working bloke can afford one which typically has the power to outrun many Ferrari's and Porches for a fraction of their price.

It was all fucked up of course by our Russian friend smolenski in 2006, when he sold the name TVR to an American concern

Did I miss something? I'm late to the party on this one

I just scanned the thread and saw the usual "dick", "wanker", "homosexual","tosser", "poof","shag" and thought......"ahh, there goes another typical t595 thread"
