We'll probably be there for Sunday this year. Too big a commitment with work for the 3 days. We usually hang around near turn 1.

Phillip Island can give weather at both ends of the scale. I've been sunburnt some years & saturated others. It won't get really cold but can be wet. If it rains put your riding gear back on! Take shorts & t-shirt if it gets hot.

Weatherwise, its a lottery like DR says.
My daughter bought me a tank bag for xmas, fit a bit of shit in that (every bit helps) and backpack. S bag and tent on the backseat (occy straps & duct tape)

Here's that HD lookin' Vincent HRD

TJ Am I stating the obvious ...that you are not married > own 2 bikes, or does one really belong to your missus and you're not sayin'
The Daytona looks good ...no fairing as with mine (you see one bike with a fairing ,you've seen 'em all IMO) .... as one of my mates said when he saw mine ... "it looks tough" as yours does.

is it that obvious I'm not married?? Uh both bikes belong to me... along with another 3... (I get a bit carried away sometimes).

Daytona was streetfightered more out of necessity than choice... Seems T595s come off 2nd best against geriatrically driven falcons... Definitely looks much meaner/tougher now, and wheelies MUCH better with no fairing.

Thanks for the compliment, appreciate it.

Thanks for tips on the weather guys. I reckon I can pack for most possiblities.

Lookin forward t catching you guys.

Cheers,

Triston

You Lucky, Lucky, Bastard.

I"m pretty sure that mine was naked'ed for a similar thing before I got it,.... there was another standard daytona at the bike shop but I preferred the naked , ...something to do with age akd growing up with unfaired bikes

BTW a couple of days before the race weekend I'll post the weeks weather forecast,.....that'll give you an idea of what to expect.
cheers

Dunc, you may have left already but anyway if not the weather should be around the low to mid twenties for friday and saturday and twenty eight on sunday so it should be a good weekend. We'll be staying at the trackside camp ground but not sure which part, I'll keep an eye out for ya , if you see a black T595 no fairing and single headlight that'd be me i reckon, safe trip and we'll see you there

Bugger, I'll have to watch it on TV. Gonna miss getting drenched, frozen and a 15 hour ride both ways.

You only would have got drenched on the way there possibly, but from friday to monday the weather only improved (can be lucky sometimes) was bloody good racing , and in the WSS when Mcoy was pickin' up the pace and catching the leaders the crowd got more fired up. Before the race in an interview M'coy sounded a bit dejected about the bikes performance but after the race he changed his tune , I reckon he did a bloody good job , looks like we'll be following WSS a bit more closely this year
Cheers Alex
