Rather than go out and buy a 'comfort' conversion. Is there any reason why I couldn't just have risers machined to fit the profile of the Daytona Top Yoke or even turn the yoke 'upside-down' and have it drilled to take 'off the shelf' risers? What D'ya reckon?

What about installing a top from a Speed triple 97-98?

Josh Reece: What about installing a top from a Speed triple 97-98? | Or 97-04 even? (unless you want to mount the instruments to it then you should get the 97-01 version) They are not too readily available on used market - need to be sharp if/when they come up on EBay. Daytona ones on the other hand are ten a penny.

...and therein lies the problem . I've been hunting for about 10 months, and not got wind of any about. So, back to my question, any reason why I shouldn't get risers machined to fit the profile? I can get this done for free, rather than spend money (which i need for a re-conditioned gearbox from Triumphant - Damn desintegrating 4th)... I'll just throw this out there - Anyone got a top yoke for a triple to fit my T595? Please, don't hold back I'm ready to be inundated with offers!

I think the problem is that the Daytona one is a bit thin - not sure if it would be strong enough?

top yoke conversion
know Im a bit late on this but you can flip the bars over from left to right,or vice versa, you have to drill and tap hole for brake cyl.brkt and file a new groove in each bar to let bolt through but it lifts the bars to speed triple height(ish) and costs nothing.Saw this on another members bike, recommend it,the sore wrists have gone
