Fabricated some brackets in mild steel yesterday to keep the missus happy, as she could only manage half an hour on the back before. We did an hour yesterday and she reckons it was all day comfy.
Painted and refitted them today, and will show photos when she has time to show me again how to download them.
Best bit is that there was no need to alter anything about the frame, and It can revert back to standard in ten minutes. Also it keeps the two cans on the right hand side, and saved me a few hundred quid on subframe/downpipe/muffler changes.

Stupidly I didn't make a jig, and just did them by eye so it's a fair amount of time to get them right.

However today I was looking through a Demon Tweeks book and on page 193 there are universal footrests for £19.98. They appear to clamp on to the sub frame and would have saved me a lot of work. Perhaps with a drill you could throw away their footrests and retain their clamp and your standard pillion pegs.

Let us know how you get on.

I want to replace my Avons with something slimmer.

Barney, I've only done less than 500 dry miles on this bike since buying it and the tyres came with the bike. I think they are 020's and will do the necessary shortly. on the few runs I've done they feel fine in the dry, but I probably won't be taking this bike to the limit for a true assessment of the tyres, as it is really for a cruising type of transport.

P.S. I'm not really Bad
