'Lo Geordie, thanks for the offer mate but I can't make it anyway
What a tale to tell; did the damage Saturday morning, was out all day on bike, a tad uncomfortable but it was to nice to stop in.
Went to A&E on Sunday, X-Ray & diagnosis: sprain.... after a second opinion.
Phone call from Cosultant early Monday, could I go back 'cos they think It's broken. They pot me up and ask that I come back today to see the orthopaedic hand surgeon.
Today: Third diagnosis, torn ligaments, wrist splint and go home.

I applaud them for thoroughness, but I was more comfortable in the pot. Still can,t ride though.
On the bright side a week to ten days is better than five weeks

No damage to the bike though
Repairs cost money, the NHS I've already paid for

Cheers mate it was good to be out again.
Shame about Kev. What a trooper for attempting the trip in the first place.
