[edited]: QAT
Just been out for a play on my S3 with Tonys QAT fitted, this is seriously bad news for the licence. The quick snap urban overtake 40-60-40 is now 40-80-40 and the traffic light grand prix now involves a hundred yard wheelie. It's going to take a while to recalibrate the brain but its difficult to think about this while alternating between giggling like a loon and oh sh*t!!!! moments. As a personal thing I think I may extend the lead in groove a little to give me a softer response for town riding but just a little. Overall its like nailing an extra cylinder on, I didn't believe that i previously didn't use full throttle much but now I'm sure I couldn't have done.

I have 4 blanks left which can be made up to singles or doubles, would sir like to order one? Actually I have one double left from the last batch that has a cosmetic fault which should not affect its operation which can be had for £5 less if you want to try it.

Yeah, but I live in a small town in the country side. Probably our local post man dragging his feet. Hmmm.... ordered CNR covers from Canada for my race bike the same day I orderd the QAT from you. Also got those today.

Tony
Hi Tony, I was wondering about the longevity of the throttle cable with the sharp cut in the qat ? Have you had any problems? I am toying with the idea of taking it out and polishing it up a bit to smooth the edges.

not had any problems but then mine is a race bike so does not do stellar mileages (but does bet ragged a lot) I've had a look at the cable a couple of times to make sure but appears to be standing up well. Wont hurt to polish it though if it makes you feel happier. Any one else have problems??

I polished mine up as I was a little worried that the roughness of the lead in groove might damage the cable. In doing so I have slightly increased the size of the groove but I find that softening the initial response is worth the extra two or three degrees turn. I used a rat tail modelling file with successively finer grit papers 240,600, 1200 wrapped round it and then a felt wheel and polishing soap. I dont think it really matters but I feel happier about wear on the cable.

Tony. Are you sure. The throttle grip looks like all of the other 2 cable setups. Sprinklerhead Why do you want it anyway. I find the throttle response snappy enough already

Nope not sure, just that, as youhave commented, everyone seems to think that the throttle on the 2005 seems a lot better. If you want to open up your throttle and measure it for me and maybe take a photo or two I would then be able to make an engineing judgement.

OK, I ned the diameter of the inner throttle. Also across the bridge that accepts the throttle cables at the base where it jpins the above inner throttle area(the bit that the cable runs round IYSWIM). An end on picture of the inner part of the throttle would be good; looking at the end the throttle cables are on. If i make one would you like to be the test dummy?
