I have just found my radiator fan jammed by a stone which had got into the fan shroud. Stick your finger in ( without engine running) to manually spin fan to check all is ok.

1st time that happened to me - the blade had parted company with the motor!

2nd time - the light came on, so straight to the dealers for a "Diagnostic check" - I spun the replacement blade as you said - all OK, and they switched the light out!

I must get around to cutting a hole in the bottom of the fan cowl!!!!!!
