Check out the FRETTOURS that I organise from time to time.
All you pay is the hotels, ferry, food and fuel. I don't make a
penny.

THere MAY be a spare space on the 25th, but I will only find out on the 23rd as one or two of the guys are ill.

Going to Austria in september with some mates you're welcome to join us nothing booked yet but this is the plan.

Chunnel over and back.
5-6 days overnight on the way down 3 nights at somewhere around Landec in the middle of the Alps all the passes you have read about are close by over night on the way home.

I'm not a touring club but I am a RAT pack leader so I am used to leading groups and tour Europe a couple of times a year so know my way around.
I do all the routes before I leave.

I would have loved to join Fret this year, but I did a lot of his route last year and it clashed with my dealers ride to the Ardennes.

I forgot about you!!

NExt year we are doing the following.

Spa at Baden-Baden, Cafe Waldgeist, Harz mountains, Colditz and maybe a couple of concentration camps.

I'll start working on it in the summer.

Thanks for your replies Fret and Barney. I am going to Germany in July(10th-14th) to the German Triumph Owners Rally held in Oderwald Region . http://www.tmoc.de/index.php?id=61&L=2 T.
Going via Verdun stopping at http://www.bikersbedsfrance.co.uk/ for 1 night then onto Rally calling in Luxemborg on way back through france.
So thats about it for this year.
I would be interested in going to Austria in September with you Barney.
Fret, when is it that you are going this year and next year.

At the moment we are planning to go from the 5th to the 12th of Sept.
So you know what you are letting yourself in for we tend to ride around 300-400 miles on the way there and on the way back.
We normally stay at an Ibis bed, bar and food easy to find and lots of them.
Once there I will have suggested day rides of around 150-200 miles.
These are in no way set in stone and if people want to do a different route or go somewhere special we change the route no problem.
Our riding style is spirited and we make progress I'm 50 so the idiot days are over.
There are some photos of my travels in the Albums under Barney and some under Europe by Paul Burbidge.
