Done a few track days now and beginning to get into the swing of it. Last couple we got a helping hand but were free to go and enjoy oursleves for 90% of the time. Now I was going to do another but my focus has changed. Now I want to spend my time learning how to go faster and corner better rather than just go round a track. No I dont want to be a racer just want to learn how to improve my braking, and cornering and gain confidence. In a moment of madness the boss agreed I could go on a couple of superbike school days. Booked myself in for level 1 and level 2. Any suggestions on how to get the most out of the two days? Any suggestions for any other track days with good instruction? Also anywhere do saturday/sunday track days as this would save me from taking time off from work? Thanks. Ells. PS I have done Ron Haslams Honda @ Donnington. Track time short. Instruction was two pupils to one instructor and I enjoyed very much but did not gain any knowledge.

They did suggest staying overnight which I think is a good idea as I am doing level 1 then next day level 2. Cheers. Mark

Ells, I would be interested to know why you did not gain any knowledge at the RH school. Am I right that they insist on your doing the basic levels first regardless of experience and could this be why?

Android, I went to see RH with a group of mates for a fun day out and we got it. We selected Ron as we needed all the kit and bikes. The experience was spot on as a fun day on track. If or when I go back I will actually pester the instructor more to attain the best learning experience. I am now actively seeking to improve my track riding. I have done 1 trackday similar to RH, 1 track day with RH, 2 * 1/2 a day track time with limited instructor input and a lot of free time. I have booked two CSS days, these are more money and more time. I am hoping that this will help my riding (particularly corner entry speed and cornering. Barriers to learningon my RH day: 1. I had to adapt to the CBR600. Am a fat old fart and it takes me some time to adapt. 2. As it was a fun day I did not want to go at full pace as that would mean splitting me from my bud! 3. The track time is not a lot really. For a good learning environment I would want a couple of hours track time. Would I recomend it - Oh Yes! The gear, bikes, instructors were all spot on. Just dont feel it is suitable for what I want to do now. I am looking for more track time more instruction and using my own bike. Ells.
