Anyone wear this gear on a regular basis, am looking for a textile jacket and trousers combo that is to some degree breathable, the current kit I have does a good job of miniature sauna.

I wear a Triumph Tornado Jacket & Trouser combo most of the time - fairly breathable, but even this can get hot in warmer weather! Some of the newer stuff has (Tiga, Pantha) has ventilation zips for the hotter weather. http://www.triumph.co.uk/.....opup.aspx?GID=1 Just click on "Outerwear"

Have just bought a Tiga jacket. Waterproof - yep Windproof, even without the lining This bl**dy summer hasn't let me test the effectiveness of the ventilation system

I use an old style pair of Explorer trooosas. They're fine really, only melting in extreme conditions.

I have the tiga jacket and am awaiting delivery of the pants, I am impressed with the garment and it is very good quaility even for the 200 they ask. the jacket seems breathable but its the trousers that will be the judge, as they seem to make you sweat more. the only downside to the jacket is you need to wear a neck scarf as the collar lets in air and your chest is filled with cool air, wearing a buff or scarf stops it, of course different riding positions will give varied results i guess. Stocks are low because its a 2008 range and they are not getting supplies in bigenough amount from the manufacturer yet, trousers are expected late october. 9/10

Just ordered a set of Tiga jacket and matching pants. It's what I've been looking for, for years a winter type jacket with vents so you can tour in it what ever the weather water proof zips as well Large zipped cuffs so you can tuck your gloves under and long zips on the pants so you slide them down over your boots.

Barney Post your thoughts on these once you have tried them as I am tempted by a set.....instead of new leathers.

Will do I'm off to Wales in April so it should get a good test there. I have had a Belstaff jacket and Triumph Tornado pants for the last 5 years but they are tired now. Zips have gone on the jacket and profing in the crutch on the trousers so the family jewels get wet if it rains hard. I did have a Tornado jacket but the fabric unwove on a day coming back from Germany. I looked like the Wookie from Star Wars when I got to the channel. Triumph gave me a full refund .

Dunno about the clothes, but the range of boots last about 2 years before the lining gives up. Aparently the newer range is worse. Saying that, my trousers are 3 years old and the gloves 2 and they don't leak one iota.

NCT not tried it in the wet yet but went out this weekend it wasn't very warm but I was, wind proof . The only place that felt cold was my chest where the wind blast comes over the screen, but I'll sort that with a neck warmer with a bib. I was only wearing a t-shirt and thin polo neck under the jacket so not fair on the jacket really as it was only between 3-5 degrees. It's comfortable and it doesn't flap .

Update on the Tiga Jacket I confirm its water proof and very good My only complaint is with the knee armour in the matching trousers it is very uncomfortable and rubs and digs into your legs no matter how you move it about. It's so bad I've taken it out of mine.
