Is it just me or are all of us being charged an exhorbitant amount for Triumph spares. Recently had cause to buy some minor odds and sods to get both my Triumphs up to scratch - some fairing bolts and black plastic washers for my 1200 Trophy and similar bits for a 98 T595. How can Triumph justify over £2 for ONE fairing bolt!!*****????? Today I decided to price up a Right hand footpeg and the "U " shaped bracket it fits in to. Both mine are suffed as a result of an "off" the previous owner had. Total cost? Over £50!!!!!!!!!!!! Just what do Triumph think they are doing apart from ripping us all off!!!???? Anyone got a right front footrest and bracket for sale. Your price ( but not Triumph's price) paid within reason!!!!

Footpegs are rare (other than new of course). My R/H peg is bent and I've been chasing replacements on eBay for months. They go for about £20-£25 each. The hangers are cheaper - presumably they are not so commonly damaged!

Hah! When I was pricing up spares for my VFR after the elderly lady wrote her off, I was greeted with a chuckle when I was pricing up the LH riders footpeg hanger. Not the footpeg, just the hanger... £85 I scoured eBay, couldn't find one. Couldn't find on off another model which looked even remotely similar. I called them back to place the order(10-day lead time, IIRC)... and she chuckled again. It was £85 + VAT. Needless to say, I decided to go through the insurance. --Rich

I don't think Triumph spares are any more expensive than say BMW or Ducati and are pretty much on a par with Honda

I used to think Triumph was bad.... until I found out how much Honda charges for its spares. Aint funny. Haven't even bothered checking how badly Ducati or MV-Agusta riders get screwed. But then again the Honda logo does give a very re-assuring feeling of reliability. Even if its not alway true.

Soz Paddy. Dont suppose you want people on here bidding on it. There should be a page on here so people can list what they are bidding on to make sure other members dont.

Drew: Soz Paddy. Dont suppose you want people on here bidding on it. | Don't really mind. Could be me selling spare bits in the future, so it's swings and roundabouts.

God... each time I see that, I know I need one. I'm going to sell my family, speakers, Triumph, tools... anything and everything. Inline Image There was one parked outside the showground this weekend... I nearly had to pull over and massage my vital organs... Just thought I'd share that with you lot. --Rich

Im new to owning a Triumph, a 1994 speed triple. Im paying more for spares than I have with any of my other bikes. e.g genuine chain and sprocket kit for hornet £65 for Mr Honda...£130 from Mr Triumph. Just ordered a throttle cable today from triumph £32. Its not just that, nothing much kept in stock, always order in, anywhere from 2 days to a week. Sorry, just having a moan.
