I've taken delivery of a ventura bike rack system from sound distribution but I'm having problems fitting the left hand side L-Bracket. The holes on the bracket are a good 4-5 mil out when lining it up with the holes in the frame and whilst I can just about get it fitted it doesn't sit square.

Seems to me that there must be a problem with the manufacture of the brackets as they don't match each other at the rear and the holes are not in the correct location on the left hand one.

Thought I'd just see if anyone has had a similar problem. I never seem to have any luck with mail order products!!!

I've got the ventura rack on mine (on it when I bought it). I can't see any additional holes or any bodges to fix them on so I suppose they must have been OK straight from the box.

Sounds like they have sent the wrong part.

Cheers Ergo, still awaiting an answer from Ventura as to what might be the issue. Clearly nothing wrong with the bike and the more I look at the brackets the more I think they're knackered. I've received the correct part number but the two L-brackets don't seem to match.
The front mounting should be different to take into account the different mounting locations but as the rear mounts fit to the same position on the bike ( rear pannier mount ) then the rear mounts on the brackets should in theory be identical....which they are not.

The wait continues....
