He qualified 12th at Phillip Island. IIRC McCoy is a fast on Sunday rider

Variable weather during practice sessions and qualifying by the looks of it. Fastest WSS times varied from 1:41 to 1:54 depending on the session. On this basis it could be that practice times might be no real form guide to the race, especially if the weather turns iffy. McCoy was actually 5th in 2nd free practice, Clementi was 13th, so if it rains on race day ............

WSS best race of the day by a mile. Don't care who wins if the races are close like that .........

Flippin' eck ! - What a race. My palms were dripping sweat! I'll need to up me medication to get through this season. What a mix: Triumphs, Briitish riders and ultra competative racing. Some of those passes were incredible - Carlos Checca, take note.
