It would look fucking awful (and render it pretty much unsaleable), please don't do it.

I wasn't planning on selling it The whole point of seeing a picture before I do it, is so I can then make a decision on whether to do based on the facts rather than a feeling. Your probably right it will look shite but it's just an idea

I wouldn't mind the cash equivalent, but I don't like gold the metal either.

I have to agree it does look shite. Now what about Silver bodywork with Gray frame, forks, wheels etc. You may wonder why im going to all this trouble, the truth is the rear swing arm was badly corroded and just about everything attached to it was seized. So I have sorted that all out by painting (aerosol) but it really needs powder coating properly. So I may as well take the opportunity to make it how I want it. Oh and my leather / helmet are Silver and Grey.

Again, not a very good job, but is this the sort of shade of gold you had in mind? Photo Album Image (You'll have to imagine the wheels. Just in from the pub and can;t be arsed...)

okay......did front wheel rims okay...but only after cocking up the rear. still, you get the idea. And sorry to admit...I think the gold rim against the black of the tyre looks good.....just not too sure about the gold and red Photo Album Image

Gotta agree with Boycie's first thought - "a tarts handbag" At least a photoshop image can be easily deleted

Thanks for taking the time out to do this. But as Rob said atleast a photoshop image can be deleted (Just as well) I think the Red and Gold is a no go. However Silver and Grey seems to be a strong possibility. But should it be silver panels and grey grame etc or grey panels and silver frame etc. Anyone fancy a go with this one? http://www.t595.net/album.....1&img=34000

Silver panels (good colour for hiding minor scratches), metallic graphite grey frame & wheels with silver 8 metalflake. Polished fork legs.

Quote "Silver panels (good colour for hiding minor scratches), metallic graphite grey frame & wheels with silver 8 metalflake. Polished fork legs. " Now if someone can replicate that via photoshop etc i'd be impressed

Works for Ducati 916 / 748 etc.. but the trellis frame (work of art) carries it off. Too much 'frame' to go 'gold' with on the RS I reckon, my opinion.
