Thought I would plug my local Triumph Dealer - Webbs Motorcycles in Eye. A Yamah / Triumph main dealer with a FANTASTIC parts team! Steve and Pete are real troopers - They remember your name, are a mine of information re parst and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They get my business every time! Sales Team are good too especially Gavin. Looked a copule of bikes recently and always go a fair p/ex value on my TL which has now been sold privately. Give them a try folks - you will not be disappointed I am sure!

I have to say Bob that I wasn't that impressed with them when it came to booking in my SP03 for a service last year. First off it was at least 2 weeks ahead and £40 more expensive than Pure Triumph in Wellingborough - in fact when I called Pure not only would they do it the follwoing week, they 'offered' me a Courtesy bike before I could even ask, the bill they presented me with was less than they had quoted me, and they sorted out some replacement rear foot peg hangers on warranty without any fuss whatsoever. Then when I went and had the hangers replaced they also fitted a rectifier for my LED indicators and only charged about £5.00 to fit it! Prior to all of this, whilst in the Webbs showroom while they were doing a recall job I was chatting to the bloke in there and they had a Matt Black SP03 - I mentioned about the Metal Tank on it and how it didn't look as neat as the Plastic one on mine - "What do you mean?" he said, and I pointed out how the plastic one doesn't have the weld hanging down from it. "I didn't know about that" was his reply. I then asked him about the chrome cover on the bottom of the pipes which was new on the 2007 model. "They all have that" - really? Take a look at mine, said I. That was something else he discovered about his product that day. In fact their branch in Lincoln supplied my bike - but not directly, it came via a Yamaha dealer. I visited the Lincoln branch to test ride a Speed Triple, fell in love and was preparing myself to part with the readies. The salesman there wasn't able to detect a buying signal like "How much for mine then?". I walked out of the dealership, he never ever tried to contact me again and my local Yamaha dealer sorted a deal for me instead. I can't say I've had a bad experience, but to be honest they just don't appear to be that dynamic either.

Webbs
I'm told the chap running the Triumph side has just left after falling out with the boss who he thought had treated him unfairly. I agree about the parts people - they are OK. But we had a Serow XT225 engine rebuilt there at it was a rubbish job - never ran properly again and we sold it.
