Can anyone tell me which holes on my T140 timing cover should be used to mount the stator plate, as there are two pairs next to each other. Its a T140 E engine and i am using Boyer MK111 system. Cheers.

I've got a BB ignition on my T100. I can't remember if there are 2 pairs of mounting holes on the 500, but I'll try to have a look this evening.

Are the slots in the base plate long enough so that it could be mounted and the timing set up via either set?

Cheers mate i've got it sorted now. As long as you can strobe it either pair of mounting holes will do.

OK, good that you've got it working.

Checked my T100: the stator plate is mounted by the left hole at the top and the right hole at the bottom. These do look like the ones that are closest to 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock respectively.

I think that the old Lucas contact backing plate was attached the same way.
