I have the early, possibly only Haynes manual but the wiring diagram does not seem to reflect what I actually have. The engine changed in 02 i think and it has a different loom. I am trying to find the auxiliary plug but cannot find it, the only free plug under the tank has different colour wires. Bud

I didn't think the RS came with an accessory plug. The ST did for sure, but I'm not sure about the RS. The plug you found under the seat...did the PO install it? Where do the wires lead to? Is it a battery tender type plug, or a cig lighter type? What are you trying to install?

Haynes manual for the injection triples was originaly '97 to '02. They now do '97 to '05 but it has the same Haynes number (3755), which is not nice, but a different ISBN code. A lot of things changed at '02 year and the early book is of limited use for later bikes. I have both.

Bud, I have an 02 RS and a factory manual for the 02 RS and ST. I am at work but will take a peek when I get home and let you know.

On Page 8.33 of the manual there is an accessory plug socket shown on the wiring diagram. The wires are coloured purple and black. Triumph have an auxiliary power socket, the fitting intructions state "two wires coloured purple and black and fitted with a two way connector can be found just above the alternatoron the left hand side of the motorcycle" ??? The alt is not there on my bike! Also under the nose cone there should have been a heated grips socket but I couldn't find that either. ??????? Bud
