Yep. That's why this year we are going to BSB instead at Donny. trouble is Moto GP is now becoming very corporate led like F1 and it's pricing REAL bike fans out

I'm not going to go, even though I would really like to see JT race there. It's not so much the cost of the ticket, although it is now starting to get too steep especially bearing in mind the poor spectator facilities ... it's the piss taking add-ons. Are you aware that they even charge a fuckin' admin fee if you go to the ticket office to buy your ticket? Not only that, but it is on a %age basis meaning that if one of you go to buy all the tickets for your family in ONE SINGLE TRANSACTION they are charging an Admin Fee on the total cost of the purchase! This is to cover their Ticket Staff overheads allegedly. I actually wrote to the Operations Director a couple of months back by email complaining about this rip off and pointed out how their office overheads would be more than covered for the ENTIRE year just on MotoGP race day sales alone - and that was based on 15 staff at £20k per annum. I don't think they are that generous, do you? After chasing him up a month later he responded by apologising and saying that he had passed this on to the Ticketing Manager, and that he would chase him up for a response and promising to get back to me. I chased him up again last week. No response to date. A fine example of RIP OFF BRITAIN. So they ain't getting my money this year, especially if they can't be bothered to pen a response of any kind. As long as us mugs keep paying, they'll keep charging.

Unlikely unless it's for the social aspect. Now let me see......did I like seeing the 500s screaming around or even the WSB with people like Bontempi rear wheel steering out of every corner.....oh yes, yes, yes Do I want to see traction controlled bikes with different mapping depending on the weather, ridden by boys who just nail the throttle on the apex rather than feeling for grip.....No I f**king don't. Do I want to sit on rubble, drink warm lager, have some c **t blowing an air horn in my ear, have to piss in the trees because the bogs are so sparse and then spend hours trying to get the 2 or 3 miles back to the M1.....unlikely.

For an interntional sporting event £60.00 for a weekend ticket is pretty good value I reckon, think you could quite easily treble that for an F1 weekend ticket. Admin fees are a rip off for whatever event, ticket, etc.....

Narna ... I accept that there are Admin Fees for the vast majority of events, but in many instances they are per transaction. To charge it even for collecting the tickets from the office is indefensible. One of my other points to them was that recent legislation make it compulsory for all Airlines to display Tax Inclusive prices, and yet the entertainments industry seems to be getting away with a similar ploy. Regular Postage at £2.50? Fuck off! In fact if you apply online they add a Transaction Fee, an Admin Fee and an exhorbitant Postage Fee to the ticket cost. If they just gave me an all inclusive price from the outset I wouldn't mind so much, but it's the way that some businesses operate these days by hiding fees. They are taking us for mugs. Some of my competitors something similar, which is why their monthly rates sometimes appear lower ... then they charge £250 Admin Fees and £150 Closure Fees. It may be the death of me, but I won't allow my business to act in such a deceptive fashion. BTW NARNA ...check your mail shortly

considering the amount of beer i would drink there over the whole weekend, added to the entry tickets My choice WILL be the farmyard party. Not everyone's cup a cocoa but i don't care. Beer, bikes, stupidity and live music. that'll do for starters (And its just down the road from me )

Chizz - The add ons smack of nothing less than deceipt over the ticket price. And bearing in mind Doningtons continual failure to provide decent facilites, I wont be going. Shame, cause I love the atmosphere of our one home GP.

No, for all the reasons above and more... I remember when it was unmissable - Schwantz / Doohan / Rainey etc, realistic prices, damn good few days along with getting wasted next to a campfire next to your tent and bikes. You can't even park your bike near your tent any more, the ticket prices are ridiculous, and the facilities are fucking awful. And don't even start me on the arseholes who attend these events nowadays.... As with Geordie Dave, my money's going to events with a bit of atmosphere and value for money - farmyard, stormin etc

I'd rather see F1 that MotoGP at the moment which is a complete reversal. Thank god F1 had the balls to ban t/c and ABS and will also be removing a lot of the aerodynamic aids. OK, we're never going to see the 2 strokes agian but the electronic shit has to go. Fine, let the manufacturers use it on road bikes for mere mortaly but I want to see guys backing it in, spinning it up and firing it out... http://www.dorje.com/~ala.....han-wheelie.jpg http://www.roadracers.co.uk/bikes/mick_slide.jpg
